Summer

Summer in Prague is a delightful time to visit, with comfortable temperatures ranging from 22-24°C (72-75°F) degrees Celsius, and plenty of sunshine to explore the city’s sights. While rain is common, it’s usually short, and evenings can be cool and pleasant.

Autumn

Autumn in Prague is a beautiful season with yellow leaves falling in the numerous parks. The amount of rain decreases in September, but temperatures drop to around 19 °C (66 °F) in the afternoon and 9 °C (48 °F) at night. October has temperatures of 13-5 °C (55-41 °F), while November is getting cooler, with temperatures ranging from 5 °C (41 °F) in the afternoon to 0 °C (32 °F) at night.

Exchanging money in Prague can be tricky due to exchange office tricks, confusion, and poor customer service. Beware of 0% commission ads and check rates and transactions carefully. Consider using ATMs and, if necessary, choose reputable exchange offices. To save money, exchange larger sums and visit in the winter for deals. Tipping 10% is sufficient in restaurants and taxis Non-EU tourists can save up to 21% VAT on purchases in Prague by looking for shops with “Tax Free” signs. The minimum purchase amount. The VAT rate for books, pharmaceuticals, and glasses is 15%, while some books and medicines have a rate of 10%. The tax-free process involves obtaining a tax free voucher, getting it stamped by a Czech customs official within 30 days of purchase, and then presenting it at a Duty Free Shop for a refund after passport control. Refunds are paid on goods exported in personal luggage but food, alcohol, fuel and weapons are non-refundable. The validity of a Czech form is 6 months from the issuing month.
